Barcamp is unique in that sessions are chosen by the participants. Sessions are comprised of 30 minute and 45 minute slots. These can take the traditional presentation style, be in the form of 'bar talk' or be built around a demo. The exact times and places are allocated on the morning of the event. If this makes you nervous, you should pre-register on the Planning page.
The main room seats 20 as a Boardroom and 30 as a Lecture Theatre,(or 40 standing). making it more suitable for a style format leaning towards lecture, with Q & A.
The Meeting & Media Room is configured in a boardroom layout and can seat up to 10 people.
Presenters are responsible for uploading their powerpoint or notes on a blog post after the event. You can team up to present. Time for group discussion should be built in to the presentation. Anyone can nominate subjects they would like to hear spoken on, and presenters can step up to facilitate these. (Planning)
Presenters should make clear whether they need any of the following:
- Data Projector and Screen
- Laptop
- iPod dock with speakers
- DVD Player
- Speakers
- Flipchart (including paper and pens)

We have space for 18 half-hour sessions. If you committ to facilitating one of these, you'll get a space on the board. So any learning aids lilke handouts will not be wasted. FrontPage FrontPage Show up early so you can choose the time of day that suits you best, and the room. This is done on an open grid.
If you don't pre-register a session, you may not get to give one. As we move towards the date of the camp, some sessions will invariably change shape or hands or disappear completely. It's part of the process.
